... I am pursuing my doctoral studies at the Institutt for arkeologi, historie, kultur- og religionsvitenskap at Universitetet i Bergen.

At Bergen, I am continuing my work on the intersection between "economy" and "religion", building upon my previous studies at the Universität Bremen (from where I graduated as a Diplom-Religionswissenschaftler).

In my research, I am particularly interested in applying theories of religion on phenomena commonly understood as belonging to the economic system. Moreover, I concern myself with the economics of religion as well as theories of money.

Before studying at Bremen and Bergen, I carried out postgraduate research into "Buddhism" at the University of Edinburgh, obtaining an MSc (by research) in Religious Studies.

At the Philipps-Universität Marburg, I received training in the history of religion(s) (Religionswissenschaft/-geschichte), computer science and conflict sociology.

I strongly believe in the benefits of Open Access and Free Software. This belief is expressed in my selection and coding of software as well as my support for projects such as the open access journal ZjR.
