Research Interests

- Atmospheric circulation changes in present and future climate and the consequent impacts on air quality. I work within the project PEGASOS (Pan-European Gas-AeroSOl-climate interaction Study.

- Understanding the atmospheric dynamics of past climate changes. I worked within the projects ARCTREC (Arctic Records of Climate Change) and DecCen (Exploring Decadal to Century Scale Variability and Changes in the East Asian Climate during the last Millennium) funded by the Norwegian Research Council (NFR). I looked at changes in atmospheric variability during a glacial climate and abrupt events using both Coupled and Atmospheric General Circulation Models, trying to understand the implications for interpreting proxy data.
