The Arctic Climate
Both obervations, climate variability and climate change simulations indicate enhanced climate sensitivity at high latitudes. This is also the area exhibiting the largest spread among different climate models. In addition the complicated interaction between the atmosphere, ocean and cryosphere give rise to a variety of climate feedbacks such as ice/snow/cloud albedo-temperature feedbacks and feedbacks in the atmosphere and ocean meridional energy transport
