Happy New Year ! My CV has been updated with the 10th article my name appears in. Other than that, I am doing lots of Western blots in order to re-send my article. Then, all my efforts will be on finishing writing my thesis.

Nine and a half months have passed since my last post. All this time has flown by at an amazing speed due to a busy work schedule, trying to settle in in a new house, and THE ACCIDENT. On July 6, my Mom and I were driven off the highway by another driver and crashed in some trees at 65 mph (100 km/hr). The front of my Mom's Mini Cooper was completely smashed while I got multiple fractures and a blood clot. My Mom had minor injuries and I am grateful she didn´t suffer like I did. Came back to Norway after a month in Long Island, New York. After two weeks at Haukeland Hospital, I was transferred to Nordås Rehab where I learned to walk again. After 5 and a half months I can go up and down stairs and walk normally. Started working full time a month and a half ago, moved my office and lab into the newest Lab building, and hope to finish my PhD after the new year. Life has a new and deeper meaning and I see things in a new perspective and appreciate more than before that I am alive, alive to celebrate Christmas with my loving partner and our kids. Thank you God !

More than halfway thru the moving process, i.e. life is hectic for the time being. Just love our new house. Cannot wait to unpack, change the kitchen, and settle in. My partner managed to sell his apt at a decent price. Life is sooooo wonderful !!!!!!!! Later tweeps !

Last Wednesday, my boyfriend and I bought a house after I managed to sell my apt. Moving in on March 1 and moving out of my apt. on March 15. I am soooooo excited. For the first time in my life I will live in a house which I own. My article has been accepted into BMC Immunology so my CV had to be updated. Let you know how the move goes. Bye for now !

What is it they say, "new year, new opportunities" ? I truly hope to finish my PhD before the summer-been dragging it too long. On a personal note, my dear boyfriend and I are having a fantastic relationship, got a gorgeous gold/white gold ring from him at Christmas, and despite struggling to sell our apartments so that we can move in together, we are having a blast. Happy New Year to you all !
