FUNDAMENTAL CONSTITUENTS OF MATTER
Nordic Project funded by NORDITA for 1996, 1997;
organized by
- Per Osland, University of Bergen (coordinator)
- Vladimir Braun, NORDITA
- Gunnar Ingelman, Uppsala University & DESY
- Cecilia Jarlskog, Lund Institute of Technology
- Jukka Maalampi, University of Helsinki
The project aims at a strengthening of theoretical
research on particle phenomenology in the Nordic countries.
The major questions to be addressed are related to the
triple gauge boson vertices (the three-gluon and WWZ vertices)
and the novel aspects of QCD.
We also have interests related to the mass generation
(Higgs mechanism), CP violation, lepton number
violation, and schemes going beyond the Standard Model.
A workshop
Origin of masses was organized June 19-22, 1996,
in Tartu, Estonia, in collaboration with Piret Kuusk,
Institute of Physics, Tartu. The workshop (immediately after
Neutrino '96 in Helsinki) focused on the Higgs mechanism
and neutrino masses.
An international conference
Beyond the Standard Model V will be organized April 29 - May 4, 1997,
at Balholm/Balestrand, Norway.
