Welcome!

This is my professional website with information about my scientific publications, projects and interest, but also a site with (hopefully) useful resources within structural geology in particular, and geology in general.

Structural geology is my main subject – the part of geology that deals with the deformation of rocks and sediments from the microscopic scale to that of orogenic belts and rifts, from the surface of the Earth to the base of the crust and beyond. This intriguing diversity of structural geology, with all its challenges and complexities, fascinates me and feeds my curiosity and love for structural aspects of our dynamic planet.

Current activities

Various projects on sandstone deformation, particularly in the western US, including compaction bands in the Navajo Sandstone and salt tectonics in the Paradox Basin.

Scandinavian Caledonides of SW Norway.

K-spar dating of fracture systems on the E margin of the northern North Sea rift system.
