I have broad interests within the areas of marine ecology and life-history evolution, and my current work focuses on the fertilization biology, and reproductive ecology of marine invertebrates and the evolution of species boundaries in the sea. My work addresses the complex selective forces that shape the evolution of sperm morphology, and egg and accessory-coat size in free-spawning marine organisms, examining the links between gamete morphology, fertilization dynamics, reproductive isolation and genetic divergence.
